Splitsville Luxury Lanes was the place to be on Saturday night. The annual CHOC Walk Ambassadors’ Rock’N Luau was held there this year. The night was full of bowling, raffles, Polynesian dancing, hula lessons, art, and even Elvis! All of this was to raise money for CHOC Children’s on the night before the CHOC Walk in the Park.
The CHOC Walk Ambassadors’ Rock’N Luau ran from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Splitsville Luxury Lanes. A mini-bowling tournament was held at the bowling lanes. Entertainment was on the stage with the beautiful view of Downtown Disney in the background. Team DAPS MAGIC participated in the bowling tournament and made it to the semi-finals. It was a wonderful time as the teams cheered each other on. The Splitsville staff and CHOC Walk Ambassadors were perfect hosts for this event. Now that there is one champion, count on the tournament to build as more people want in on the action. The best part is that it was bowling for a cause. Everyone was there for the same reason, to help the children of Southern California.
There were multiple other exciting things going on throughout the evening. A silent auction was held with winners announced at the end of the evening. Hula lessons were given. There were also Polynesian entertainers that created a vibrant atmosphere with their music and dancing. Top that off, the incredible Jimmy Mulligan did two paintings on the spot that were then auctioned off to benefit CHOC Children’s. Finally, Elvis himself arrived to entertain with some help of some hula dancers. The whole event was a huge party with a purpose!
The CHOC Walk Ambassadors’ Rock’N Luau is an event that really shouldn’t be missed. It’s the perfect pre-game party before the CHOC Walk in the Park.
