DuckTales

DuckTales Destination: Adventure – Home Entertainment Review by Mr. DAPs

DuckTales originally came to TV screens in 1987. Now, thirty years later DuckTales is back! It is just as full of adventure, history, mythology, and humor as ever. Scrooge McDuck (David Tennant) is back with Huey (Danny Pudi), Dewey (Ben Schwartz), Louie (Bobby Moynihan), Webby (Kate Micucci), Launchpad (Beck Bennett), and Donald Duck (Tony Anselmo) on these new adventures. They are also joined by Mrs. Beakley (Toks Olagundoye) and Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera aka Gizmoduck (Lin-Manuel Miranda). This DVD comes with six episodes from the new version of DuckTales and two episodes from the original series.

Quality

DuckTales looks and sounds better than ever! The animation looks crisp and clean. The style is fun and reminiscent of the comic strips. There are definitely some differences in styles, voicing, music, and characters between the two versions of DuckTales. However, this turned out to be a fun thing to see the differences.

Extras

Technically the two original series episodes of DuckTales are added as the bonus features. These are fun to watch and a nice nod to the past with the present version. I particularly enjoyed hearing the original music again. There is a nostalgic charm to it that I never get tired of! Definitely watch these two episodes for a smile.
