There are many different magical things to see and experience at Pixar Fest this summer at the Disneyland Resort. There are new foods, returning and modified parades, the Together Forever fireworks, characters, merchandise, and more! One of my favorite Pixar Fest offerings though is the Pixarmonic Orchestra at Pixar Pals. Found in Paradise Gardens, the Pixarmonic Orchestra performs just feet from the meet and greet location for the Pixar characters and also the AP Corner!
Every day the Pixarmonic Orchestra, presented by TripleDent Gum, brings to life the music from multiple Pixar films on Paradise Garden Bandstand. With seven musicians, the small orchestra captures the essence of many favorite Pixar soundtracks and songs during its shows throughout the days. During their performances, they play music from:
- The Flik Machine – A Bug’s Life
- The Spirit of Adventure – Up
- I Will Fly – Brave
- If I Didn’t Have You – Monsters, Inc
- You’ve Got a Friend in Me – Toy Story
The music includes some traditional instruments and also some not so traditional orchestra instruments. This includes cowbells, duck calls, kazoos, sirens and slide whistles. These unique sounds are coupled with some zany personalities to create performances that are completely charming. Watching it is almost like watching an old radio show come together as they do the live advertisements for the fictional TripleDent Gum.
The Pixarmonic Orchestra performs daily at the Paradise Garden Bandstand and is a must-see show during Pixar Fest at the Disneyland Resort. The combination of music and the personalities accompanying it make for a simply delightful viewing experience!
