Today Pixar Fest officially arrives at the Disneyland Resort. This resort-wide celebration of Pixar includes the new Together Forever fireworks presentation and also the return of two parades to the Disneyland Resort, albeit a bit different. The expanded Pixar Play Parade is now being presented on the parade corridor at Disneyland. The new version of this parade has a new opening Luxo Lamp and Ball at the front, just like all Pixar movies do. These two come from the original Pixar short, Luxo, Jr. It also includes some new characters from both Inside Out and Up. The colorful Inside Out float has Joy, Sadness, and Bing Bong on a float made of memory orbs and Riley’s rocket wagon. This one is sure to be a fan favorite as it glides through Disneyland. The UP float has Karl Fredrickson on the float with Russell riding Kevin in front. The back of the float has the loving dog Dug. This is a charming addition as well with the Kevin and Russell addition being REALLY fun! These are wonderful new additions to the parade and it is surprising how much two little floats can add to a parade. Neither of these are full-sized floats, but they are full of personality, heart, and story!
