Disney Cruise Line Ship Rendering

Design for New Disney Cruise Line Ships Revealed

The Disney Cruise Line is the most magical fleet at sea. This magic will continue to expand with three new vessels setting sail as part of the fleet in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Today, Bob Iger revealed what these new ships will look like along with some details about these new ships at the Walt Disney Company shareholder meeting. The rendering reveals that the new ships will continue the general look of the current Disney Cruise Line fleet and continue to move forward with more magic for family vacations!

The new ships were also teased to “embody the elegance and romance of the golden age of ocean cruising with unique touches all their own.” The ships will have new technology, innovation, and of course the magical Disney entertainment. All of these things will be taken to the next level to offer more magic!  Each of these new ships will be approximately 140,000 gross tons and should each have approximately 1,250 guest staterooms.

The Disney Cruise Line was originally founded in 1996 as Magical Cruise Company Limited. It’s original ships, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder were commissioned in 1995. On July 30, 1998, the Disney Magic took its first cruise. Since then, the fleet has grown to four ships with three more being built.
