The Lion Guard: The Rise of Scar

The Lion Guard: The Rise of Scar – Home Entertainment Review by Mr. DAPs

The Lion Guard: The Rise of ScarThe Lion Guard is back and so is an old villain. It is the dry season in the Pride Lands and this leads to some trouble for its inhabitants as they search for water. After using the Roar of the Elders in anger, Kion accidentally summons Scar. In The Lion Guard: Rise of Scar, Kion is up against the Pride Lands’ greatest foe with new friends and old in the second season of The Lion Guard.

Quality

The quality of The Lion Guard: The Rise of Scar is exactly what you’d expect if you have watched The Lion Guard on Disney XD. The animation is fun and the sound that accompanies it fits right in. It isn’t quite as breathtaking as the original movie but there isn’t really anything to complain about either.

Episodes Included

  • The Rise of Scar
  • The Trouble with Galagos
  • Janja’s New Crew
  • Baboons!
  • Lions of the Outlands

Final Thoughts

The Lion Guard is a fun continuation of the story that was started with The Lion King. While the voices are a little different and there are a few stylistic things that are a bit different, it really is an enjoyable show to watch. It’s also a show that will be fun for young ones and their parents to watch together. This is a great continuation of the story of Simba’s family. It’s definitely worth adding to your Disney library! I hope you will enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed reviewing it!
