Dumbo the Flying Elephant Closing

Dumbo Takes Extended Flight While Disneyland Extends Queue

Dumbo will be taking an extended flight away from the Disneyland Resort. This opening day attraction will be closing on January 8th. The goal of the closure is to create a new queue to better accommodate guests. The new queue will actually be a structure that has shade! This should make for a more pleasant waiting experience for those waiting their turn to hit the skies with Dumbo and Timothy Mouse.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant opened with the Disneyland Resort on July 17, 1955. The attraction is based on the 1941 Disney animated classic, Dumbo. Guests get to determine how high they fly as they direct Dumbo up and down as they circle around Fantasyland.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant will open sometime later this winter or early this spring.
