Today’s Sunday Spotlight takes its gaze away from the original Disneyland Resort and to the newest Disney Theme Park. The Tron Lightcycle Power Run was an instant classic when Shanghai Disney opened last year. It’s structure offers a beautiful skyline to Tomorrowland. The experience itself is just as memorable as the attraction building. On opening day, our own Murray the Bellhop rode it and was also able to meet John Lasseter! The Tron Lightcycle Power Run races both in and outside of its show building. It reaches speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. This makes it the faster of any Disney attraction currently.
This summer at the D23 Expo it was announced that a version of this ride will be coming to the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort. It is expected to open in 2021. Watch this ride-through video and let us know what you think of this amazing attraction!
