Overnight, prices increased coast to coast for Disney Parks. Both the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort saw an increase of Annual Passport prices. The change comes after less than a year from the previous hike.
Saturday evening, the website for both resort’s ticket pages were down. This meant many things and change was surely one of them. In addition to a price increase, pass tiers have been renamed and Disney PhotoPass options have been added.
Disneyland Resort Changes:
The latest change involves the phasing out the Premium pass level. Now, this level attributes to two new names. Both the Signature and Signature Plus Passes have been added to the list. The Signature and Signature Plus Pass vary ever so sightly; blockout dates. These dates are set during Christmas through New Years.
In addition to pass tiers, the Southern California Annual Pass will not return as well.
Disney PhotoPass options have been added as pass perks. On top of included parking, both the Signature and Signature Plus will include PhotoPass. Guests can access their PhotoPass accounts to download photos from their trip.
Payment plan options are still available for each of the pass levels. All information has been acquired from the Disneyland Resort Website.
Disneyland Resort parking is now set at $18 per car. Also, Downtown Disney Parking will offer two free hours of parking, instead three. Downtown Disney parking rates are at $12 per hour, $36 max.

Walt Disney World Changes:
Similar to that of the Disneyland Resort, pass names were changed out. The previous pass levels of Florida Seasonal Pass, Annual Pass and Premium Annual Pass are now issued as Platinum and Platinum Plus.
Platinum will offer access to all four parks on property. As for Platinum Plus, this option includes the four parks plus access to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach, ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex and Disney Oaks Trail Golf Course. Disney PhotoPass, parking and no blockout dates are included in both Platinum and Platinum Plus passes. Lastly, a Water Parks Annual Pass tier has been added. This pass will only grant access to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach. Information was obtained from the Walt Disney World Resort Website.
The updated list includes the following:
- Disney Platinum Plus Pass $829
- Disney Platinum Pass $749
- Water Parks Annual Pass $110
The Disney Parks Premier Pass is still available. This tier includes admission to all parks at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. The Premier Pass is set for $1,439.
The increase of prices comes after a few months from the announced Star Wars themed lands, back at the D23 Expo in August. The new proposed 14-acre lands will make its home to both Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park.
Suzi Brown, Disneyland spokeswoman, said in a statement reported by the Orange County Register, “In addition to our continued investment in the guest experience and the expansion of our parks, our new selection of annual passes will help us manage strong demand and continue to deliver a world-class experience, while providing more choices for guests to select the pass that best meets their needs.”
What are your thought on the price increases? Would you renew your Disney Annual Pass?
