Over the weekend, comic fans and cosplayers flooded downtown Long Beach for Long Beach Comic Con, a comic book convention located at the Long Beach Convention Center.

Fueled by the passion of the fans, and united by the stars of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Arrow, and Power Rangers, Long Beach Comic Con was a treasure trove of nerd unity and unapologetic enthusiasm. Look no further to the cosplayers, who spend countless hours creating perfect and dynamic outfits for the convention, and they certainly dress to impress.

The event includes attendees such as Arrow and Torchwood‘s John Barrowman, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Chloe Bennett, some well-known professional cosplayers, and the best artists and professionals of the industry. LBCC knows it’s an artistically-driven convention, and so the artist alley dominates one-half of the exhibit floor, allowing the creators and the artists to thrive and engage with their fans. Artists such as Amy Mebberson – best known for her Disney Pocket Princesses work – and Pierre Bernard, Jr. – known for his work on Conan O’Brien – spent the weekend working on commissions and engaging with fans.

In addition to comics and cosplays, Long Beach Comic Con introduced a brand new Space Expo, designed to extoll the brilliance and wonders of scientific discoveries. Focusing on bringing science and learning to all ages, the Space Expo held several panels from leading scientists and researchers on NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, new discoveries on Pluto, and the virtues of space engineering.
