Over the week, Captain Jack Sparrow visited a local hospital while filming on location in Australia for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Actor Johnny Depp made an appearance in full costume to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia.
According to reports, Depp kept in character during his entire visit. The hospital informed the public via social media of their great appreciation of Depp’s appearance. From their Facebook, “dressed in full costume, both Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow and Stephen Graham as Scrum spent over three hours making a real difference to sick kids and their families in hospital!” In addition, “both actors flew in for the visit from the Gold Coast, landing in a helicopter on the hospital’s rooftop as they took time out from filming the next installment of Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Men Tell No Tales.”
