Yelp Snack Stadium Fascinates and Feeds

yss7Greetings Foodies and Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Today’s Geek Eats is close to home, literally! Glendale Arizona is the host of this year’s Super Bowl. That means that my home of Scottsdale Arizona was the host of a Fan Fest event. One of the highlights of this was the Yelp Snack Stadium.

The Yelp Snack Stadium stands 7 feet tall, 27 feet long and 24 feet wide. The Yelp Snack Stadium was created by Bar Napkin Productions as a replica of The University of Phoenix Stadium, the location of this year’s Super Bowl. You can view the timelapse of its construction here. The Yelp Snack Stadium was constructed of:

  • 4 tons of Velveeta
  • 4 tons of Rotel

  • 2,200 bags of Boulder Canyon Chips

  • 32,000 cans of Dole products

  • 400 boxes of Mike and Ikes and Hot Tamales

  • 50 goody bags from Harkins Theaters

Even better, this food will not go to waste as it will be donated to St. Vincent De Paul food bank when the event is over. The Yelp Snack Stadium was truly a sight to behold. Photos simply don’t do it justice. It was fun to explore its construction and even play a little desktop football inside. Hopefully this blog satisfies your food craving while waiting for the big game and all the goodies that go with it!

Enjoy What You Eat!
