The cast members of the Disneyland resort always have that extra magic. What is even better is that they are known for being great contributors in giving back to the community.

This past year, cast members have donated a total of $415,000 in grants to over 85 Southern California nonprofit organizations, through the Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund (DVCF).This comes to around $2.2 million in donations since the program started back in 1997.

This program is funded through donations from either a one-time donation or through a payroll deduction from cast members. The organizations that are chosen have been nominated from the contributing cast members. Each selected organization can receive up to $5,000. Some of this year’s recipients include the American Heart Association, Boys & Girls Club, Make-A-Wish and Sam Dimas Mountain Rescue.
