Marvel's Civil War

Civil_War_2015Marvel has announced not one, but two flashback saga titles that spark some nostalgia.  The first is Secret Wars, and there has been little information released about it.  The other is Civil War, which Marvel has released some art for as well.

Civil War was a very long battle between two sides of super heroes.  The reason for their battling is that the American government wanted to have registration for heroes where even their secret identities would be known by the government (but not by anyone else).  It was to keep heroes accountable, but some didn’t see it that way.  Captain America led the charge for those that were against it, while Iron Man led the side for it.

There is very little known about this series coming next year, but the art that is released seems to indicate more of a flashback or alternate tale emerging.  Spider-Man pictured with Captain America and Iron Man is in a costume that he had during that time.  All three had pivotal roles in the saga.  In all, it seems like Marvel Comics is using past events for a bigger purpose.
