After reviews of Disney’s newest film, Guardians of the Galaxy, came back positive from audiences, the film’s Guardians Of The Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1 soundtrack has hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. According the Entertainment Weekly, the film grossed $175.9 million in its first ten days of being in theaters.
With a soundtrack having a wide variety of songs from different music eras, it’s no wonder that it is so well liked. Having sold over 109,000 copies in one week, this has become the second highest chart topping soundtrack in 2014. Number one being that of Disney’s Frozen.
All songs have previously been released by multi artists over the year. Without giving out any spoilers, the music comes from Peter Quill’s Walkman according to the storyline.
