Premier preseason Division I men’s college basketball tournament tips off Thanksgiving Day at HP Field House at Walt Disney World Resort

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Nov. 21, 2012) – The Old Spice Classic, featuring five 2012 NCAA Tournament teams, tips off Thanksgiving Day at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort. No. 17 Gonzaga, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Clemson, Davidson, Marist, West Virginia and UTEP will face off Nov. 22, 23 and 25 in one of the nation’s premier preseason holiday basketball tournaments.

Gonzaga won the 2008 Old Spice Classic and along with West Virginia advanced to the third round of the 2012 NCAA Championship. Clemson, Vanderbilt and Davidson also earned NCAA tournament berths, while UTEP earned a National Invitation Tournament (NIT) berth.

All eight teams will see action in each of the three days, with 12 games played in total. Each team competes in one game per day and advances through a bracket-tournament format.  The two undefeated teams face off in the championship game Sunday, Nov. 25. All games will air on the ESPN family of networks.

Dayton captured the 2011 Old Spice Classic title while Notre Dame won in 2010. Other previous winners of the classic include Florida State in 2009, North Carolina State in 2007 and Arkansas in 2006.
