Pete’s Dragon: 35th Anniversary Edition – Blu-Ray Review by Mr. DAPs

DAPs Magic Disney News – by Mr. DAPs

Pete’s Dragon: 35th Anniversary Edition is bringing that big green dragon home to audiences. In Pete’s Dragon, Pete is a young orphan who is wandering aimlessly trying to avoid his abusive adoptive family. With the help of Elliot (his dragon), he finds a new home and new family in Passamaquoddy with lighthouse keepers.

Picture and Sound:

Pete’s Dragon: 35th Anniversary Edition is a nice presentation on Blu-Ray, but not perfect. It looks pretty good but not absolutely amazing. The same can be said of the sound. It looked and sounded decent but not great.

Bonus Features:

Other than some previews, there were no bonus features included with Pete’s Dragon: 35th Anniversary Edition.

Overview:

Pete’s Dragon: 35th Anniversary Edition is charming presentation of a charming movie. It isn’t Disney’s greatest movie in the world but let’s face it, it is fun and it makes you smile. It has that Disney feel that makes some of the corniness not matter. It is fun, safe for the whole family, and there are some great songs included! I give this a nod of approval for being in existence. If you don’t already have it on DVD, you should probably go pick this up.
