Disney Channel’s brand new comedy series Jessie looks set to take the UK by storm, following its huge ratings success in the U.S. with 4.6 million viewers tuning in to make it the most-watched Friday series premiere in three years.
The series stars 18-year-old teen starlet Debby Ryan, of The Suite Life on Deck and 16 Wishes fame, and follows Jessie, an idealistic teen and small town girl with big dreams.
Played by Ryan, Jessie moves to New York City and becomes a nanny for a high-profile couple with four kids, not to mention the family pet – a seven-foot monitor lizard named Mr. Kipling! With a whole new world of experiences open to her, Jessie embarks on new adventures in the big city as she grows to rely on the love and support of the children in her care.

Jessie airs on Disney Channel at 5:35pm this Friday, and fans of Jessie will be pleased to learn that the New York penthouse apartment featured in the show is the latest location to be added to the virtual city of Disney’s Superbia www.disneychannel.co.uk/superbia – the brand new online game inspired by Disney Channel shows where fans can choose their own personalised avatars, select special outfits, decorate their own rooms and visit the homes of their favourite Disney Channel characters.
