The Disneyland Band has been around since Disneyland opened its gates on July 17, 1955. Quite frequently they can be found near the main gate in the morning and then have a concert at 12:00 PM in Town Square on Main Street USA. Throughout the afternoon the band splits up into smaller ensembles including the Hook and Ladder Company, the Main Street Straw Hatters, and the Pearly Band. Finally they meet again in the late afternoon for the Flag Retreat Ceremony.
