Frontierland Shootin' Gallery

Ready, Aim, FIRE!  You can take aim and hone in on a skill that was essential in the Old West of the 1870’s at the Frontierland Shootin’ Gallery.  The Frontierland Shootin’ Gallery opened on July 12, 1957 as a shooting gallery, using real BB guns.

On March 29, 1985, the Shootin’ Gallery changed into the form that it is today, using laser guns much like the ones found in Buzz Lightyear’s Astroblasters and changed its name to the Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition.  As you take aim at the moving and stationary targets on Boot Hill, be prepared for surprises as you hit the targets.  If you choose to take a shot at this, make sure you bring a couple quarters with you since there is an extra charge for this attraction.

Additional Trivia and Fun Facts

  • For the years in which BB guns were used, the maintenance teams were required to repaint the targets every night to keep them looking nice.
  • There are 18 rifles and 74 animated targets to shoot at, with your gun using an infra-red "laser" system to "hit" the targets.
