What's your favorite Disney Resort memory? In Sept of 04, me and my family were driving to Walt Disney World just as Hurricane Frances was passing over Florida. WDW was a ghost town when we got there and after checking into Saratoga Springs, we ran our luggage through the rain from our car to the room. As we slept that afternoon, the really, really loud fire alarm went off...twice. We all had to run out of the hotel and gather in the rain in front of our building. Everything on Disney property was closed due to the weather, so we were all at the hotel. We had to wait for the Ready Creek Fire Department to show up and check everything out. It turned out that the wind from the hurricane had knocked the fire alarm against the wall causing it to go off! Waking up to that alarm from a dead sleep after driving 20 hours was crazy! And for it to happen twice within 15 minutes of each other! We had just recouperated from the first one as we returned to our room trying to slow our heart rates when the second went off! We laughed about it all night! It was a great experience with a ton of great memories!

Disney is an American classic. It will be around forever and it is such a perfect link of generations. Families, singles, adults, kids, all walks of life can enjoy Disney for what it is. A wonderful release of the inner child. People who think Disney is just for kids just havent let it in yet. |
