It’s the most wonderful time of the year, especially for D23 members. D23 has announced the return of its Light Up the Season event at The Walt Disney Studios. This is a magical evening of holiday festivities that include lights, music, decorations, wintertime activities, games, shopping, photo opportunities, Santa Goofy, and of course treats! This is a night that is fun for the whole family as D23 members experience what The Walt Disney Studios is like during a holiday party for Disney cast members and employees. Each guest will get a commemorative ornament for the night that celebrates 30 years of The Muppet Christmas Carol.
Guests of the party are encouraged to bring unwrapped new toys for the Marine’s Toys for Tots program. This is something The Walt Disney Company has partnered with since 1947. Walt Disney and his animators even designed the train logo, that is still in use today.
Light Up the Season will be on December 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Walt Disney Studios. Tickets for the event are:
- Gold Member: $75 + $7 processing fee
- General Member: $95 + $7 processing fee

Our fan-favorite holiday tradition continues! Every December, The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, gets a little more magical as the spirit of the holiday season sweeps across the Studios Lot with twinkling lights, music, and seasonal decorations for the annual holiday party for cast members and employees. Continuing the tradition, The Walt Disney Company is extending the invitation to our D23 Members and their guests for a special encore Light Up the Season evening at the fabled Studios. This festive evening celebrates that special Disney time of year with wintertime activities and games, shopping, photo opportunities, and delicious treats—fun for the whole family!

- Enjoy holiday screenings inside the historic Main Studio Theatre
- Take advantage of several holiday photo opportunities worth melting for, including Disney photo spots and character meet-and-greets including Santa Goofy!
- Enjoy holiday shopping at the Disney Studio Store and Minnie’s Market Place featuring local vendors and friends of Disney
- Discover a variety of crafts and activities, fun holiday games and prizes, and complimentary treats for all ages.
- Get into the holiday spirit with a DJ & live musical performances in addition to our tree lighting and snow!
- Each guest will receive a D23 exclusive ornament celebrating 30 years of The Muppet Christmas Carol
- Additional seasonal sweets, savories—including Walt’s Chili— and alcoholic beverages (for guests 21+) will be available for purchase.
Continuing the decades-long commitment to the Marines Toys for Tots Program, we invite attendees to donate new, unwrapped toys for kids and families in need in local communities during D23’s Light Up the Season. Disney’s relationship with the Marines Toys for Tots Program dates back to the program’s beginnings in 1947, when Walt Disney and his animators personally designed the original Toys for Tots train logo, which is still in use today.

The event will begin at 4 p.m. at The Walt Disney Studios and will last until approximately 8 p.m. Security will open The Walt Disney Studios at 3 p.m., and allow guests into the event space at 3:15 p.m. Please do not arrive before 3 p.m.
NOTES
- D23 Members will be required to provide their membership number and the names of the guests attending when reserving tickets.
- All ticket holders for this event agree to comply with the latest health and safety guidelines.
- D23 Gold and General Members may purchase up to 8 tickets total.
- Children under three (3) years of age receive complimentary admission.
- There are a limited number of tickets available. D23 Members will be required to enter their membership login details when purchasing tickets. D23 Members who do not bring their membership card and tickets may not be admitted to the event. Membership card may be a physical card or digital membership card found in the D23 App.
- Ticketed Members and guests who do not attend the event forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. D23 Members must be present for their guests to gain entry to the event.
- All guests under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to attend this D23 event and will require an event ticket for admission.
- All D23 events are subject to change without notice. There are strictly no cancellations or refunds, and tickets are not transferable.
