Marvel’s Kevin Feige Will Be Overseeing X-Men Films Upon Acquisition of Fox

The X-Men will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe it appears. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger confirmed this news. Iger responded to the question asking how X-Men would be absorbed by Marvel.

“I think it only makes sense. I want to be careful here because of what’s been communicated to the Fox folks, but I think they know. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn’t be two Marvels.”

This comes after months of speculation and negotiations that led to Disney purchasing Fox for $71.3 Billion. It is expected that this deal will be completely closed sometime in 2019. At this point, there have been no official announcements about specific plans for the X-Men in the future Marvel Cinematic Universe.
