Disneyland Resort Prepares for Upcoming Opening of Pixar Pier! – Photo Report

We’re just a few days away from the opening of Pixar Pier, and Imagineers and crews are working around the clock in preparation for its big debut! I made a visit to the park yesterday to check out the progress and saw quite a few new things that have taken shape. New billboards are going into place along the Pier walkway towards the Incredicoaster, including a Coco themed one. The archway to Incredicoaster seems finished, as artwork could be seen for what looks like the area for Jack Jack’s Cookie Num Nums. Poultry Palace is taking shape, and more signage continues to be added to numerous locations.

The Incredicoaster and Pixar Pal-A-Round were both testing, while training was happening for Cast Members at the Lamplight Lounge. I was able to get photos of the chandelier in the entry for the Lamplight Lounge, and it’s going to be a favorite feature of many, from what I could see. It features concept art of Pixar characters, as well as quotes, reminiscent of the chandelier in the Art of Animation Resort lobby in Walt Disney World. New couches, lounge chairs, and fire pits are ready for guests on the patio area of the lounge, and the outdoor bar area as well. The only thing that didn’t seem to have changed at all was the former Cove Bar dining location, the old signs were still on the walls. Time will tell if that area of the restaurant opens right away.

I’m sure we’ll see more and more details emerge each day, but for now, enjoy these pictures of Pixar Pier! What are you most excited about with Pixar Pier? Let me know in the comments below!
