Tom Holland Makes Surprise Visit to Los Angeles Hospital as Part of Marvel: The Universe Unites Charity Campaign

Tom Holland made magic by visiting LA County + USC Medical Center with a $1 Million of toys donated by Funko to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Mr. Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland arrived with the Amazon’s Treasure Truck to make this special delivery. He then proceeded to spend time with children at the hospital.

This special surprise was the beginning of a new charity initiative, Marvel: The Universe Unites. This combines the star power of the cast of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War ahead of the release of the movie merchandise on March 3rd. Tom shared, “These kids are real-life super heroes – it was an inspiring experience to spend some time with them and deliver the first batch of toys from Funko. I’m honored to be a part of such an incredible cast and to support this great campaign that aims to bring joy to the lives of hospitalized children and their families.

Marvel: The Universe Unites is a weeklong event that kicked off with a social media challenge for cast members of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War. They were tasked with creating a picture or video to reveal toys of their likeness to fans and then post on social media. Their goal was to reach a million likes. The goal was reached with the hashtag #HeroActs within 24 hours. This unlocked a $250,000 donation to Starlight Children’s Foundation.
