According to Deadline, Marshall is their number one choice to direct this film. It will feature new songs by Hamilton‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken and a script by Jane Goldman.

It is expected that Rob Marshall has already been offered this movie. He should be making a decision after the holidays. If he chooses to take this project (as he is expected to do), he would begin work on it sometime in the new year.
