Sunday Spotlight: Haunted Mansion Holiday

Every year the Haunted Mansion gets a holiday makeover for Halloween and Christmas by Jack Skellington. This overlay creates a whole new experience for a classic attraction. The Haunted Mansion Holiday is inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. This version is available for guests to ride starting during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. It continues through the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.

The Haunted Mansion Holiday blends traditional Haunted Mansion theme and music with that of The Nightmare Before Christmas. The result is an experience with music that sticks in your head and a smell that makes you hungry. Every year there is a gingerbread house that is made in the ballroom season that is distinctly unique. Not only do they make these incredible looking gingerbread houses, they also pump the smell into the room as you roll through. Every year this leaves me craving gingerbread and wishing I could get some right away!

The Haunted Mansion Holiday is a fantastic Disneyland tradition that is a favorite for many! Each year there are differences as it returns. This makes it even more fun for those who visit regularly as they look for all the little changes. What is your favorite part of Haunted Mansion Holiday? Let us know in the comments!
