Pixar Play Parade Departs From Disney California Adventure for Disneyland

The Pixar Play Parade made its way through the parade corridor of Disney California Adventure for the last time on Sunday. This parade will be moving to Disneyland to help celebrate Pixar Fest.

Pixar Play Parade is a parade that utilizes water throughout the performance. It has the following units:

  • Monster’s University
  • The Incredibles
  • Finding Nemo
  • A Bug’s Life
  • Toy Story
  • Cars

At one point there was also a Ratatouille unit that was included in the parade as well. It also had an Inside Out pre-parade. Next year, Pixar Play Parade will move to Disneyland to help celebrate Pixar Fest. What do you think of this move for this parade? What’s your favorite part of the parade? My perspective is that it seems funny to move the Pixar Parade to Disneyland when so many of these characters have their “home” in California Adventures … but I can also see that it would be a good lure to bring people over to California Adventures after they have seen the characters in the parade.

I’ll miss the guys that bounce in the air. There was only one spot where I knew that they would bounce in the area where I saw the parade and I could never figure out why until my friend talked about the wires for the trolley. I was like they couldn’t bounce due to the wires. I liked getting wet from the floats especially when it was hot. I’ll have to see it over at Disneyland next year. I didn’t think I’d miss it but I kind of do.
