New at Flo’s V8 Cafe: Breakfast Burrito Brings a Kick to Route 66

New at Flo’s: Ka-Chow Spicy Breakfast Burrito

As another new addition, in the spirit of Cars 3, the Ka-Chow Spicy Breakfast Burrito has been introduced. Wrapped in a large red tortilla, fillings include eggs, chorizo, breakfast potatoes, tomatillo salsa, and sour cream. Fresh slices of orange are included on the side.

See the feature sign below, and remember Annual Pass discounts are accepted at Flo’s. This brings the total down to just $9.20, after tax.

This Breakfast Impresses Inside and Out

I love breakfast burritos, and it has been too long since I have indulged in one. When I found out about this new menu item, I took my first opportunity to race over to the parks and give it a try! I certainly did not regret this decision.

The burrito comes wet style, with a red tortilla covered in ranchero sauce and a yellow nacho cheese lightning bolt. I love the small details Disney includes, such as this cute reference to Lightning McQueen’s paint job.

The size of the burrito is quite large, great for bigger appetites. Those with smaller morning appetites could comfortably share one order. For the price, I was definitely impressed by the portion and felt fully satisfied. I really enjoyed the wet style, but if you would prefer to eat with your hands, be sure to ask for the ranchero sauce on the side. It really added a flavorful kick to the burrito.

The filling of the burrito is hearty and delicious. Inside are generous servings of the good stuff: eggs, chorizo, and potatoes. The chorizo is tasty, with a sweet and spicy flavor profile. Lending to a well textured bite, the breakfast potatoes are perfectly cooked, maintaining some firmness. The potatoes are sautéed with onions and peppers, which are some of my personal favorite vegetable flavor additions. The tomatillo salsa is the most fresh element inside, giving another spicy flavor to the mix. There was not much sour cream, but I did not find it necessary.

All in all, I really liked this plate. The oranges added a fresh, sweet element to counter the spicy burrito. I highly recommend this to any burrito lovers looking for breakfast in California Adventure. Don’t miss your chance to try this before September 10th!
