Fastpass Distribution Officially Begins For Matterhorn Bobsleds

For years, many Disneyland guests flocked to the Matterhorn to find if the rumors of an abominable snowman lurking inside really were true. This past week, it has become much easier to get into the mountain as Fastpass distribution has officially launched for the beloved attraction.

This addition is a very welcome change to the park, as lines for the Matterhorn Bobsleds could be seen, especially during peak season, wrapping around the mountain with no way to jump the line. Guests can now scan their ticket just across the way from Matterhorn at a kiosk, and receive their return time for the Matterhorn.

There have also been two new digitals signs added to the entrance. The first, to indicate the return time for guests who are trying to seek out fastpasses. The second, and my favorite, is a digital sign that reflects the current wait time. This seems to be a much more efficient system than the one previously in place, which only estimated wait times from certain points along the queue.

While I personally welcome this change with open arms, some may disagree and simply wish this attraction had never changed. Check out our updated Matterhorn ride-through video and let us know what you think!
