Disney has released a new Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales trailer that gives more of the plot, and even shows a young Jack Sparrow and a bit of his origin.

The previous trailers showed almost nothing of Captain Jack Sparrow and his involvement in this plot.  Now we see the set up for this huge epic for pirates.  Captain Salazar, the big bad of the film, is taking his revenge on Sparrow, and employing Barbossa in it.  The origin of this ghost like villain comes from a young Jack Sparrow as we see in the preview.  Along for the ride are two characters, Carina and Henry, and it’s clear that Henry has a thing for Carina.

Watching the trailer it seems like it’s back to old pirating ways, in that it has elements of when the franchise started, but taking it in a fresh direction.  The love story seems one sided at the moment, but still

harkens back to Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann days.  Jack Sparrow seems to be in good form with fun one liners and constant trouble.  It also brings back the adversity between him and Captain Barbossa.  After seeing this trailer I am more excited to see this movie when it premiers Memorial Day weekend.

One thing to note that pops up at the end are the words “The Final Adventure.”  Is this the final Pirates of the Caribbean film?  It seems to point to it.  Although right after this title card are the other words “Begins.”  So, it could mean this is the first chapter in a few films.  Or it’s the last of a saga.  Or just something else entirely.  But, it certainly piques interest.

Below is the trailer, and be sure to let us know what you think about it in comments below.  And let us know if you think this is the end of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise.
