Disneyland Says Goodbye to New Favorites and Reintroduces Old as Diamond Celebration Concludes

WorldOfColorThe Disneyland Resort winds down the Diamond Celebration on September 5th. With the end of this celebration it will be saying goodbye to some new favorite offerings and bringing back some old. On September 5th visitors to the Disneyland Resort will see the conclusion of World of Color: Celebrate, Paint the Night, and Disneyland Forever will all end their regular performances.

Following the end of the Diamond Celebration, Disneyland will re-introduce some old favorites in the form of the original World of Color show and Fantasy in the Sky fireworks. Starting September 6, World of Color will return to the version first shown in 2011. What remains to be seen is if this will be the opening show (shown below) or the most recent variation of that show.

Fantasy in the Sky will light up the skies over Sleeping Beauty Castle starting September 9th on Friday through Sunday evenings. Versions (one version shown below) of this fireworks display have played at the Disneyland Resort since 1958. It was the original “kiss goodnight” that Walt Disney envisioned himself.
