Several months back, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club announced an art contest inspired by the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration for the D23 Expo. Artists from all over submitted their work in the hopes that their piece would be selected.
The winner along with 22 finalists, will have their artwork displayed on the show floor during the D23 Expo.
As to who won this contest, Nuri A., from Quartz Hill, California, was named winner of the D23 EXPO Design Challenge. In addition to his work being on display at the expo, Nuri also received $2,300 in prize money. Check out his awesome piece below.
Each piece of artwork that entered the contest was judged by a panel including the likes of “Marty Muller, senior vice president, Global Creative, Yellow Shoes; Don Hahn, artist, film producer, and director; Adam Sanderson, Head of D23; and Steven Lavine, president, California Institute of the Arts.”
