Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure based on the novel “Jurassic Park” by Michael Crichton. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

Jurassic World will be released in 3D by Universal Pictures on June 12, 2015.

So what do you think?

I’ve been looking forward to this film for quite some time so I will admit, I’m an easy sell on this… unless it got gimmicky or relied on rehashing a story that’s already been told too many times. There has been a nagging doubt in the back of my mind that we were just going to see the original Jurassic Park again with a new cast and slightly different settings. After seeing this trailer, I’m not as concerned about this anymore. Obviously the whole thing will be based around a conflict with dinosaurs that are terrorizing people. However, the dino itself is bigger, smarter, and more terrifying than anything we’ve seen before. The fact that there is no option for just evacuating the island creates a new dimension of despair that I think will be interesting. The setup for what will probably be the resolution also seems intriguing to me. How this could lead to future movies? Not really sure. I only hope that if they don’t have a good story, they don’t try to push the franchise forward.

What did you think of this trailer? Will you be seeing Jurassic World when it hits theaters on June 12, 2015?

Make it a GREAT day!
