Luigi's Flying Tires Flies Last Flight in Cars Land

Luigi's Flying Tires Closes - Disney California Adventure, Disneyland Resort

Last night Luigi’s Flying Tires flew its last flight in Cars Land before being shut down to make way for a new attraction. Disney California Adventure closed at 10:00 PM and by 9:30 PM a handful of people could be seen waiting by the door to the queue, hoping to be on the last ride. Even with these fans waiting for the attraction, the line didn’t get longer than 10 minutes as Luigi and Guido continued to send people flying. The atmosphere was subdued as if people really didn’t know what to think.

Shortly after 10:00 PM, the last flight of the night took off. People seemed to enjoy the ride. Once it was over there were a few scattered claps. Some stragglers also took pictures after the last flight concluded.

Luigi’s Flying Tires originally opened with the rest of Cars Land in 2012 but never really seemed to take off with guests. It had some initial excitement (and big blow up balls) but that soon waned. Now it will make way for a new attraction and new magical moments for future guests visiting Luigi and Guido in Cars Land.

What do you think of this change in Disney California Adventure? Will it be a good one for the Disneyland Resort?
