"Toy Story 4" Just Announced for 2017 Release

Just announced, Disney and Pixar are working on Toy Story 4! Planned for release date of June 16, 2017, Woody, Buzz and pals are to star in a brand new film. Bob Iger, Disney Chairman and CEO, broke the big news today.

TOY STORY 3

With the release of Toy Story back in 1995, the world of Disney has never been the same. John Lasseter is set to return and direct the upcoming film.

Here is what John Lasseter had to say about the film, “We love these characters so much; they are like family to us.We don’t want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what’s gone before. Toy Story 3 ended Woody and Buzz’s story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another Toy Story movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee, and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie—and I wanted to direct it myself.”

Rashida Jones and Will McCormack will be working together to write the film. In addition, Pixar veteran, Galyn Susman will produce the film.

Toy Story 4 will be the first feature Toy Story film since Toy Story 3, which was released back in 2010.

Be sure to mark your calendars for June 16, 2017.
