For the first time at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, a Disney Ambassador has been selected for the resort. Janelle Sanqui has been selected to represent the 2015-2016 year. She is currently working in the Workforce Management at the resort. Her past roles includes working as a parade performer at the Disneyland Resort for two years and she also has worked in entertainment at Aulani.
The tradition of Disney Ambassadors dates back to 1965, starting at the Disneyland Resort. Disney Ambassadors serve as official spokespersons for their location.
Just this past month, the new Disney Ambassadors for 2015-2016 at the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Tokyo Disney Resort have also been selected. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Disney Ambassador program.
