The El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood will now be providing daily tours. “Discover the history and magic of Hollywood’s premiere movie theatre with a behind-the-scenes tour,” says the website’s brochure. With two differnet tours being offered, it’s something that everyone can enjoy.
The first tour is the “Express Tour.” This tour will be offered throughout the day and is around 15 minutes long. Here you will learn of the theatre’s history, explore the exclusive displays and view the Wall of Fame. This guided tour is $5 per person.
Second, the “Disney Movie Palace and Backstage Tour” features some pretty neat things. Taking part daily at 8:30 AM, this thirty minute tour will include all the things in the previously mentioned tour above, a photo with the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ, exclusive access to the Sherman Brothers Star Dressing Room, a private viewing of the curtain show, backstage areas and much more! This tour is $15 per person.
Please note that tours are subject to change. If you would like to purchase tickets, please visit the theatre box office. Advanced ticket purchase is not required and walk ups are welcome. Also, if you have any question, please call 1-800-DISNEY6 or visit the box office. In addition to the tour, there are often times movies playing on selected dates.
