For many Star Wars fans, the pilot of Star Wars Rebels offered a first glimpse of what the Walt Disney Company would be doing with the Star Wars franchise that it now owns. For the most part, fans were happy with what they saw (read Danie’s review of it here). Now, Disney and Lucasfilm is adding some frosting to the cake of that first episode by adding a new scene with Darth Vader to the pilot episode. To make it even better, Darth Vader is once again being voiced by James Earl Jones for this scene.
This updated version of Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion will be aired on a special ABC broadcast on Sunday, October 26. Executive Producer Dave Filoni shared, “We wanted to do something special for the ABC broadcast. We’ve added a scene which gives audiences insight into the Inquisitor and includes a cameo by Darth Vader voiced by the distinguished actor James Earl Jones.”
