Live Action 'Dumbo' Film To Be Produced

Have you ever seen an elephant fly? You soon may get a chance to see an elephant fly in an all new live action movie featuring Dumbo.

Hollywood Reporter announced that Disney would soon be making a new live action film based on the 1941 Disney Classic. Ehren Kruger, writer of the Transformers franchise, has been working on a new script for the planned Dumbo film. Justin Springer is to produce.

The well-known story about a baby circus elephant and the struggles of being separated from his mother, all made us tear up. With the befriending of a mouse, he soon discovers that he can fly by believing in that magic that he holds from within.

With new CGI technology, this film will make magic come to life on screen. Similar to the recent film, Maleficent, technology has helped in making Disney classics into live action films. To add to that, Maleficent had major success, grossing over $630 million worldwide.

Disney has much planned for the future in film and remakes of classic stories to live action are a most definite. A live action Cinderella and is already in the works with a scheduled for release March 13, 2015. Other films include a remake of The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast.
