Photos of the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, Descendants, have been shared on the Official D23 website. In addition to the characters and cast, we are also getting a closer look at the plot line. Set to hit television screens in 2015, there is much anticipation.
The children of some of the most recognizable evil villains will make their television debut. What do they look like, you ask?
The son of Jafar, Jay, is played by Booboo Stewart. Cast as Jafar is Maz Jobrani. Across the way, we have Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil, played by Cameron Boyce. Cruella cast as Wendy Raquel Robinson.
Mal, daughter of Malefiicent, is played by Dove Cameron. Starring as her mother is Kristen Chenoweth. The next character, Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen is cast as Sofia Carson. Playing her mother is Kathy Najimy.
With a very detailed cast, the plot line too is very deep. Taken straight from the D23 website, here is what we can expect;
Disney’s iconic characters are living out their happy endings in Auradon, a present day idyllic kingdom. All defeated villains have been exiled to the Isle of the Lost, a remote island where they must spend their remaining days isolated from Auradon’s modern-day luxuries. Time passes, and the teenage son of King Beast and Queen Belle is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making descendants of the villains stuck on the Isle of the Lost. The teenaged kids of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella de Vil are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the teenage progeny of iconic Disney heroes. The villainous parents see this as an opportunity to use their children to carry out an evil plan that will finally free them all from the Isle of the Lost. Will these evil teens follow in the footsteps of their wicked parents?
