Caitlyn’s March Trip Report

Well hello my friends,

It’s been awhile since I’ve written, but I’m happy to be back with a trip report. I went down to Southern California the weekend before Easter (and I’ve even been back down there since), but I went with my friend Lauren at the start of our spring break. We spent Friday night at Disneyland, and her friend Jeff met up with us as well. On Saturday morning, we went up to Burbank to tour the Warner Brothers Studios, which was so awesome! There is so much to tell about it, and there are quite a few pictures, so that will get it’s own article later. We loved our time at Warner Brothers, and it was exciting to do something different in Southern California, seeing as how we always go to Disneyland when traveling down south.

After Warner Brothers, we ventured to the Grove, which was a short lived visit, then spent the rest of the day relaxing and then hanging out in Downtown Disney. Sunday, we spent the whole day in the parks, and enjoyed the new Fantasy Faire area first thing in the morning. There was not a single person in line for the Royal Hall, which was great because Ariel was awesome! She had us laughing so hard that I was crying, and we got to spend a few minutes with her and not feel rushed by other people in line. We even got to check out the Rapunzel show. It had the right amount of cute and cheesy for the kids, but I was surprised at some of the humor that the adults could catch. I loved the fact that Flynn and Rapunzel did a meet and greet after the show, and we only had to wait a few minutes (in comparison to the meet and greet by the Carousel). The rest of the day we just hung out, and I even enjoyed my first Dole Whip (I know, I know) and it was delicious! It was also wonderful to see so many friends in the parks and Downtown Disney over the weekend (you all know who you are).

On Monday, before heading home, we made two more Disney stops. First, we went to the Disney Studios in Burbank, which is always a treat. And, thanks to my friend Allen, we got to walk around for awhile, and even go through a few of the buildings. It was especially cool to be there on a Monday, since they were filming some shows. We enjoyed walking through the ABC Building, Old Animation Building, and the Frank G Wells Building, and even the Archives. I know Lauren really enjoyed being able to see the studios, and it was fun to go back. Thanks again Allen! Lastly, we stopped in Simi Valley at the Reagan Library to see the Disney exhibit to see it before it closed. The whole weekend was fun-filled and so enjoyable, and I look forward to doing new things in or around the parks soon.

Stay tuned for an article on the Warner Brothers tour!
