Miss Lilly and her can can girls have returned to the Golden Horseshoe Saloon in Frontierland for a very limited run. As a part Limited Time Magic, A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue creates new magical memories for some guests and rekindles fond memories of the past for other. The first showing was at 11:30 on January 10th and the show will continue to run Thursdays through Mondays until February 4, 2010. The performance times are 11:30 AM, 12:45 PM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 5:15 PM, and finally a special $35 annual passholder performance at 6:30 PM.
A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue is a classic saloon show lasting a little over 20 minutes. In those twenty minutes, saloon girls dance the can can, Miss Lilly serenades a lucky guy (or two… or three…. or…) in the audience, and a few other locals from Frontierland join in the fun. They are accompanied by a live ensemble comprised of a pianist, trumpeter, drummer, and banjo player.
The premiere showing of A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue was received enthusiastically by the audience who attended. The Golden Horseshoe Saloon was alive with energy as the audience reacted to the talented performers. This is sure to be a hit for Disneyland and will leave guests wanting more of these types of performances… or perhaps just more performances of this show.
Guests must visit the podium at the entrance to the Golden Horseshoe to reserve tickets for each show throughout the day. A single guest can reserve up to 8 spaces for their group. The entire group must arrive together to actually enter the show.
