Dick Clark is dead at the age of 82. The cause of death was apparently a massive heart attack. Dick Clark is a famed television personality who has hosted game shows, television programs, radio shows, and New Years Rockin’ Eve show.
He was known for his sign off phrase, “For now, Dick Clark…so long.” This was often accompanied by a salute. He was most well known for hosting American Bandstand, the game-show Pyramid, and of course the New Years celebrations which he created in 1972.
Dick Clark has head health issues for several years. He had a debilitating stroke in 2004. He also admitted to having type 2 diabetes months before the stroke.
Dick Clark was married three times and is survived by three children and his current wife Kari Wigton.
