HK Disneyland Issues Special Day Tickets For Golden Week

All That Glitters is Gold at Hong Kong Disneyland

Mickey and Minnie Mouse are set to dazzle in glamorous gold costumes at Hong Kong Disneyland this Sunday as they extend a warm welcome to guests during the Golden Week holiday.

Guests holding special day tickets can enjoy reserved admission to Hong Kong Disneyland while pre-purchased special day tickets are encouraged for those still planning their visit on the designated special days from April 30 through to May 6, 2006.

The park and two resort hotels will sprinkle pixie dust over the popular golden week holiday by introducing a host of glittering touches — from family entertainment to themed dining — to delight guests of all ages.

For the first time ever, guests can celebrate with Mickey and Minnie in their festive Golden Week finery as they appear in the spectacular Disney on Parade, which will be performed twice daily throughout the holiday week at 1:00pm and 3:30pm.

The golden tribute continues with the launch of simplified Chinese subtitles at the two Broadway-style shows — The Golden Mickeys and The Festival of the Lion King, a special feature added to enrich the theatrical experience for mainland guests.

Bill Ernest, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort said, “Hong Kong Disneyland will glitter during Golden Week and we’re excited to welcome guests from both Hong Kong and mainland China during this holiday.

“To make our guest service even more magical during Golden Week, we have arranged additional welcome counters in Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Adventureland to assist guests with tips for making the most of their visit.”

Guests should also look out for the guest service counters located in Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and Adventureland. Friendly cast members will be on hand throughout Golden week to provide assistance and to give out colorful Magical Tips sheets. Colorfully decorated with images of beloved Disney characters, the Magical Tips sheets provide handy hints and useful information to help every guest make their visit even more magical.

With a golden theme prevailing throughout the park, guests can be on the look out for the glittering touches that are sure to make their Golden Week shimmer. Gold accents that blend seamlessly into the park’s magical design include the spires on the Sleeping Beauty Castle, intricate gold leaf paint on Cinderella’s Carousel in Fantasyland and The Golden Mickeys show which lights up the Storybook Theatre in a dazzling golden hue. As a final touch, the Disney in the Stars fireworks extravaganza paints the night sky with a gold comet cake.
